Today is Sept. 11th
I was just realized that today is Sept. 11th. I did not "notice" its' significance until this moment, halfway through the day.
I also was not reminded by anyone (for the first time since it happened) that it is Sept. 11th, or that it was approaching.
Katrina has overshadowed it.
Time keeps marching on...
The Story keeps unfolding...
I am thankful for Dave's message at Open Door today. (Even though we can't see it; God's plan is ALL ABOUT healing/restoring)

I nodded in agreement so many times during the sermon today...I hope no one thought I was sleeping!
I love to think of God as Redeemer. It occurs to me often that He is always at work redeeming His creation, our poor choices, words misspoken, wounds (physical and other). His redeeming work is all around us.
The beauty of it is that He is doing it for no other reason than His great love for what He created. Wow.
On the same note, I had a thought during the sermon...
I love trees. I mean I really think they are beautiful. If I think trees are lovely the way I see them now. What will I think of trees after they are redeemed? When God restores everything in creation as He promises at the end of Revelation?
And when He does that will it be like in the movies...will something sweep across the land (a great Zamboni?) and everything will go from dull gray to living technicolor?
Wonderful! I can't wait!! Lately, the old hymn "For the Beauty of the Earth" has constantly been in my heart.
Your Zamboni is an INTERESTING metaphor for sweeping across the land!! I love it!
Oh Tonya,
It is SO GOOD to hear your voice!! I have missed it! Thanks!
I'm here, I'm reading every day...!
I had a conversation with HeatherD. yesterday and I mentioned the three of us should have coffee sometime. Share the real life stuff, being stay home moms desperately in search of God kinda stuff. Sound like fun?
I'll give you my number next time I see you in church!
Sounds WONDERFUL!! Can't wait. If it takes too long to see each other in church, get my number or email from Jan...
Blessings to you and yours...
Will do...then again it may be awhile before Heather can make it!
