Two Questions...

My kids and I are trying to find out two things:

1. How many miles is it to Mexico from St. Paul? (or at least Minnesota)

2. How many miles a day could an average person walk?

Anyone know?

p.s. There is a story behind this!!

Google Maps puts the distance at around 1,525 miles from St. Paul to Brownsville, TX. Brownsville is right on the border, so tack on a half mile to that.

A very serious hiker in good shape can do 30-40 miles a day. Most ordinary people can do 10-15. I would think that if a car were to accompany the walker and take all the gear, 20 miles a day would be no problem.

Thank you so much!! Now we can figure how many days it would take to walk there.
