What extravagance --
this day time
roaring fire
Not needed
for light
and not much
for warmth
And only for me.

How interesting! I just came back to my small room after sitting in front a roaring fire in the lounge, soaking up it's warmth. I was the only one sitting there and felt what you wrote so beautifully.
What a beautiful picture this paints in my mind. Elegant, simple. You're getting to be an amazing writer/poet. Dave G
